I went to the doctors on Monday and was given antibiotics, more painkillers and something to stop me from feeling so sick. Dratted gall stones! I shall be so glad when the surgeon finally gets around to removing my gall bladder. While I was there I asked why, when I was supposed to be on the emergency list I had heard nothing since May. Apparantly the surgeon is reluctant to operate without input from my orthopaedic specialist. He has written to him but so far no reply. Lets just hope they both hurry up and get their act together.
There used to be a show here in the US called SLIDERS with the four protagonists "sliding" into/out of parallel dimensions in each episode. (I don't know if it ever screened in the UK). I remember one show, in which a main character was shot just before jumping into the wormhole, which necessitated medical services in the next world--incurring a charge of $1 million. One of the other characters said something like: "Man, no matter where we go health care issues can't be solved."
I hope your doctors get off their bums as soon as possible so you can get the care you need.
PS: I *LOVE* it when you post your artwork!

I hope so, too, Cat. This is the third 'episode' since May and its getting just a little tiresome!
And thank you for your comment about my art work. I keep posting it but am never really sure whether anyone enjoys it, lol.
